How Can I Effectively Get Rid of Gnat Infestations in My Indoor Plants?

I'm dealing with a serious gnat issue in my indoor plants this season. I've tried sticky light traps, the Zevo gnat spray, and vinegar traps, which usually work for me, but nothing seems to be doing the trick this time. I know it's normal to have a few gnats during summer, but I've never experienced such a high number before and it's really getting on my nerves! Any tips or advice on how to get rid of them would be greatly appreciated!

I found that using special pumice granules on the soil surface can really help shut down gnat activity quickly. It's a simple fix that could make a big difference!

Be patient! It can take up to three weeks for the right product to break the gnat cycle, since their eggs won’t hatch right away. I found a product that works better than the sticky traps; you should check it out: it's called the Zevo Flying Insect Trap Max. Also, instead of using mosquito bits, I add just one drop of a specific biological mosquito control product into each watering can. I have over 40 houseplants and haven't had any gnat issues since! Good luck!

If you're willing to try something new, consider using Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (BTI), a specific strain of bacteria that targets gnat larvae. I used it twice and my gnat issue went away quickly! Just be careful not to confuse BTI with regular Bacillus thuringiensis (BT), since BT isn't as specific to gnats. Don't forget to keep your sticky traps and ensure good air circulation around your plants too!
