I've got a memory from childhood of my neighbors sharing their persimmons with me, but they always tasted really bitter. However, I keep hearing people rave about persimmons, especially wanting to grow them. So, I'm curious—how do you make sure they taste good? What's the secret to enjoying these fruits?

The key with persimmons is waiting for them to fully ripen. Unlike most fruits, a ripe persimmon should be super squishy—think pudding-like! When they’re that soft, they're actually really sweet and delicious. Even those bruised spots can be okay. Trust me, they can be one of your favorite fruits if you let them get to that point!

Sounds like I definitely missed the mark on ripeness! Thanks for the tip!
