How can I ensure my butt joints are glued at a perfect 90 degrees?

I'm working on a project with half-inch plywood, but I've noticed an issue. Sometimes, when I glue and clamp the pieces together, one of the halves seems to pivot, causing the angle to drop below 90 degrees. What are some effective techniques to clamp these pieces without any shifting?

You might want to check out some DIY corner clamps. They can be super helpful for holding those angles steady while the glue sets. There are lots of options out there, so you can find one that fits your needs!

Are there alternatives if I only have regular clamps? I have access to a community wood shop.
