I'm trying to set up an outlet for my electrical bidet, but the cord doesn't reach from the existing outlet in the opposite room to where I need it near the toilet. I have a video tutorial I'm following and a marked location for the new outlet, but I'm unsure how to extend the wiring properly. Any suggestions?

You might want to consider tapping off the existing switch to add an outlet closer to your toilet. Just make sure to use a GFCI outlet since it's a wet area. If the switch is on a lighting circuit, it likely doesn't have GFCI protection, so that's crucial.

I get that, but how do I actually extend the wiring? Should I cut a hole in the wall where the opposite room's outlet is and then just run the wire over? Seems like it's gonna need more cutting.
