How Can I Fix a Clogged Shower Drain and Repair a Door Frame?

I'm trying to get my friend's home ready for when they come back from the hospital. There are two main issues that need fixing: First, the master shower has been clogged for about a month. We've tried different drain cleaners and even bought an auger, but the drain has an 'x' shape in the middle, making the auger impossible to fit. Is there a way to remove the drain to use the auger, or do you have recommendations for getting it unclogged? Second, there's a door frame that's partially off due to a break-in attempt. I'm not looking for a permanent fix, just something to make it look presentable. Any tips? I've attached pictures of both.

For the clogged shower drain, you might want to check out a drain remover wrench on Amazon. It could help you get the drain cover off so you can properly access and clear the blockage. Some users find it effective for tricky designs like yours!

For the door frame, since you’re after a quick fix, try using some wood glue and clamps to reinforce it temporarily. It might not be perfect, but it should hold up until you can do something more permanent. Just make sure to fill any gaps to improve the appearance!
