I've noticed a gap in my retaining wall that's causing dirt to slowly seep through. I'm wondering what materials or methods I can use to effectively seal it up. I have barrier multi-project foam on hand, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for this situation. Any advice or alternative suggestions would be appreciated!

Using barrier multi-project foam could work, especially for smaller gaps between wood and brick. Just make sure to apply it evenly and press it in well. However, if the gap is pretty large or if it's in a high-pressure area, you might want to consider using some kind of masonry sealant or even soil stabilization methods. It really depends on how big the gap is!
Definitely seal that gap! If the foam doesn’t work as well as you hope, maybe try expanding foam specifically designed for outdoor use. Also, putting a little landscape fabric behind it could help hold back the dirt without washing away.
