I'm currently renovating my hardwood floors, which involves sanding, filling, and oiling. However, I've come across a pretty significant dent that's about 20cm (8 inches) in diameter and roughly 2-3mm (0.08 inches) deep, resembling a shallow bowl. I'm looking for advice on how to fill this dent without having to replace the wooden boards. I was considering using clear epoxy, but I'm unsure if oiling over epoxy would stain it in any noticeable way. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you looked into some "undenting" techniques? I've had some moderate success with them before, even if they aren't perfect. Check out methods for "steaming out dents" in woodworking discussions. Also, I’d be cautious about applying oil over clear epoxy—make sure to do a test with scrap wood first to see how it reacts.
If it's truly a dent, steaming might help. On the other hand, if it's more of a gouge, consider using a dutchman patch instead of epoxy. You’ll need to get a router, a sharp chisel, and a matching patch board for this. If done well, it can blend in surprisingly well, and, even if it’s noticeable, it adds character to the space!
