How Can I Fix a Partial Shower Drain Clog Without a Snake?

I'm dealing with a partial clog in my shower. Whenever I shower, the water builds up but eventually drains away. I've tried to clear it out, but I think the pipe has a curve about 2 inches below the water level, which makes it tricky. Is there a way to fix this without having to buy a drain snake?

I've had great success using Green Gobbler in my shower. It's a natural formula that dissolves grime without the mess that comes with a snake. I found traditional products like Draino didn’t work as well for me.

Removing the screen from your drain and cleaning it out could really help. If you can reach in there, using needle-nose pliers might get out some of the blockage, especially if it's hair.

Just give it a good workout with a plunger. Sometimes that's all it takes!

You might want to check out a hair snake—super cheap and easy to use. They're usually under 4 bucks. It can help pull out hair and gunk that's stuck in there.

Totally agree! It's a must-have for every household.

After trying various methods with no luck, I finally got a powered drain snake. It was a game changer! Sometimes it's worth it to just get the right tool for the job and avoid future headaches.

That one you linked looks solid! We got one that attaches to a drill, and it worked wonders clearing a clog we had.

Have you tried using a shop vac? Cover the vent on the side and then use the shop vac directly over the drain. It can sometimes create enough suction to clear it up!

Baking soda and vinegar are also great options! Just pour some baking soda down the drain, follow it with vinegar, and then flush it out with hot water. It's cheap and usually effective for minor clogs.

Why is this getting downvoted? Is there a better solution?
