How Can I Fix an Iron Burn on My LVP Floor?

So, my toddler accidentally plugged in an iron that was just sitting on the floor, and now my Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) floor has a nasty burn mark. I'm really hoping there's a way to fix this without having to rip the whole thing out. Any suggestions? I've got a photo of the damage here: https://imgur.com/a/gTkAqXa

Honestly, if you can't find extra planks, it might be tricky. But check around your house; sometimes there are spare pieces in closets. If not, just remember that replacing is often the best long-term solution.

You might also consider getting a floor mat or some kind of rug to cover that spot temporarily while you figure things out. It won't fix the burn, but it will hide it until you can make a permanent repair!

I really prefer fixing it, especially since I'm renting. But thanks for the suggestion!

Well, if you have some extra planks stashed away, you might be in luck! You can take the pretty vinyl layer off an extra plank and carefully glue it over the burn mark. Sure, it won't look perfect since there might be a slight height difference, but it could look a lot better than that burn for now!

Yeah, that's a good temporary fix! Just make sure the glue is strong enough, so it stays put.
