I bought a house last fall, and now that spring is here, I've noticed some serious erosion around my back porch due to all the rain we've been having. We've put in gutters and are planning to dig a drain in the yard soon, but I'm not sure how to address the erosion that's already happened. Should I cover it up with landscaping, or would it be better to add more dirt next to the concrete? I'm really lost on where to start and would appreciate any advice! Check out these pics of the erosion [Erosion](https://imgur.com/a/qYBfb9G).

I totally get where you're coming from—spring rains can wreak havoc! It's really important to stabilize the area by adding soil where it's eroded first. After you do that and level the ground, go ahead and hide it with some nice landscaping. This should help with both support and aesthetics, plus it’ll keep your porch safe from further erosion!
To fix the erosion around your porch, you'll need to fill in the eroded areas to ensure the concrete is properly supported. Once you've done that, you can level off the yard and then think about landscaping it to prevent future erosion. This way, you address the problem while also improving the overall look of your yard!
Great tips! Just be sure that whatever plants you choose can handle the local climate and won't need too much maintenance.
