How Can I Fix My Bumpy Concrete Porch?

Hey everyone! I recently had a patio contractor do a fantastic job on my outdoor patio, but sadly, the front porch turned out a bit of a disaster. It's really bumpy and uneven, and I'm not sure what the best way to fix it is. The contractor seems puzzled too! Can I lay tiles over the existing concrete, or would they pop off? Is it possible to pour a new layer of concrete on top to smooth things out? I've heard that sanding or polishing might work, too. Also, could I mix materials like shells into the concrete to cover up imperfections? I'm especially worried about the cracks and the bumpy stairs. Just so you know, I live in Florida, which means it's exposed to a lot of heat and sun. Any advice on how to handle this situation would be greatly appreciated! In Florida, since there are no freezing temperatures, going for tiles is definitely an option! Just make sure to do some research on how to properly install outdoor tiles, so they hold up against the heat and sun. It can work really well if done right!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm a bit nervous about the installation, but I appreciate the heads-up.

Yeah, tile can be a good solution. Just ensure the surface is prepped properly.

I totally get your worry! If it's uneven, you might want to consider pouring a new layer of concrete over the existing surface. Just make sure it’s done correctly to avoid future issues. Also, sanding could work to some extent but it might not completely fix the bumps. Good luck!
