How Can I Fix My M12 5A Battery with a Damaged Contact?

I have an M12 5A battery and unfortunately, one of the contacts got damaged. It's still under warranty, but I found out it isn't eligible for repair. The cost for fixing it would be around $177, which seems ridiculous. Right now, the battery only works for about 45 seconds before cutting out, and I have to remove it and put it back in to get it working again, but just for another short period. Is there a way I can fix this myself? I heard that if they return it to me, it's disassembled. Also, does anyone need any parts from it?

Hey! You might want to look up some videos on replacing battery cells or rebalancing them. It could just be a poor connection somewhere. You can find empty battery shells online pretty easily. Do you have any experience with a soldering gun? That could help a lot if you need to fix the contacts.

I've never used a soldering gun before, but I have a friend who does! Might ask for some help.

If it's under warranty, I’d recommend taking it back to see if they can do a quick fix. Sometimes, it might just be an issue like not being grounded well. They might surprise you with an easy solution!
