I have a cat that's super fascinated by the pull switch on my ceiling fan. It's a little metal chain with a wooden piece at the end, and my cat will actually try to jump to it from the ground! We jokingly call it the forbidden toy. I'm hoping to buy just that pull switch so I can attach it to something like a stick or a wall, without having to buy an entire ceiling fan. Does anyone know what these things are called and where I can find one?

If you get one for him, he might quickly lose interest and just want the original one he can't get to. It's like the classic case of wanting what you can't have!

Have you considered a remote control fan? That way he wouldn't be tempted by the pull at all.
