How Can I Get My AC to Cool My Bedroom Below 64 Degrees?

Hey everyone! I have a bedroom that's around 160 square feet with two southern and two western facing windows. For the past few summers in New York, I've been using a Frigidaire 5000 BTU window unit at night, setting it to 60 degrees, but it never gets any colder than 64. I thought I'd upgrade to an 8,000 BTU unit with smart features, but I woke up this morning to the same 64 degrees even after setting it to 60. The app claims it's hitting the target, so I'm guessing the temperature sensor might be off. The new unit cools the room faster, but I still want to reach that true 60 degrees for a comfy sleep. Any tips on how to cool my room down a bit more?

Have you thought about insulating your windows to prevent any cool air from escaping? It might help keep the temperature lower!

You think some cool air might be slipping out the windows?
