I'm dealing with an invasion of ants in my house during the summer, and it's becoming unbearable. They're showing up everywhere—on my clothes, in the kitchen, and just around the house. This didn't happen at my old apartment! I thought I could handle it because they didn't appear during spring, but now they're everywhere. I've tried using borax, which just resulted in a lot of dead ants, and I've also used Raid. I have some Terro liquid baits, but I'm looking for more solutions to keep them out for good.

I've been in a similar battle and found success! You should try diatomaceous earth. Get a big bag, ideally one with a spray applicator, and spread it around the outside of your house. This powder is non-toxic and really effective—spray it in any entry points and those pesky spots inside. I repeat the process about once a year, and it really helps!
The Terro baits have worked wonders for me. You just need to find out where the little invaders are coming in and set the baits close to those entry points for a few days. It’ll help draw them in.

Is it normal for ants to come inside during the summer? I’m new to house living, but I always keep things clean and make sure doors and windows are shut tight at night.
