How Can I Get Rid of Fungus Gnats Naturally Without Harming My Plants?

Hey everyone! I'm currently battling a fungus gnat infestation in my Florida home, and it seems these little pests are everywhere—inside and outside. They're particularly bad in the soil of my potted palm trees, tomatoes, herbs, and even lavender. I've already tried some natural solutions like garlic, basil, and cinnamon-infused water, but I haven't noticed any real difference after a week. I also tried letting the soil dry out for three days, but I'm worried about hurting my plants if I let it go any longer. I'm looking for effective and non-toxic solutions, since I want to keep being able to eat my fruits and herbs. Any advice would really help!

Mosquito Dunks might be your best bet! They contain natural bacteria that target gnat larvae and eggs. Just soak them in water and pour the tea into your soil after straining. It’s really effective and safe for your plants!

I’ve had success with that! It’s all-natural and definitely worth a shot.

One option you could try is Diatomaceous Earth sprinkled on the soil. Just make sure the top layer of soil is dry before you apply it. It can help break the life cycle of the gnats without harming your plants!

Good tip! Drying out the top soil is crucial for effectiveness.

You should consider using beneficial nematodes. They’ve worked wonders for bad infestations. Just refrigerate them until you’re ready to use, and follow the instructions for application. It’s a solid approach if you want a natural solution!
