How Can I Get Rid of Yellow Jackets Near My Strawberry Patch Without Chemicals?

Asked By GardenGnome123 On

I've got a ground nest of yellow jackets situated right next to my raised bed and strawberry patch, and they've already stung me. I really want to eliminate them, but I'm looking for ways to do this without using a lot of chemicals that could harm my soil or other beneficial insects around.

An effective way to deal with yellow jackets is to use dry ice. Just wait until evening, pour some dry ice over the nest, and cover it with a large bowl, weighing it down with something heavy. This method suffocates the yellow jackets without affecting your soil. Just make sure to keep your distance after covering the nest to avoid any surprises!

Dry ice pours? Like, how do you just pour it over? That sounds interesting!
