I'm trying to hang a really long 14-foot curtain rod that consists of five pieces and six brackets, but I can never seem to get things level when they have multiple installation points. It's becoming a nightmare for me! What are your best tips and tricks to make sure everything is straight and level when hanging things like this?

Using a level, laser level, or even a tape measure can really help with getting everything straight. Start by making sure you have a solid reference point to measure from so you know what level is actually supposed to look like. Having two anchor points makes things easier!
Definitely grab a laser level if you have one. They make the job so much easier and you won't have to second-guess anything. Also, just make sure the hangers on your curtain rod are aligned properly with each other before you start measuring and marking. It can make a big difference!
You can even use a straight edge if you don't have a long level – just make sure you put a level on top of it to check for straightness!
You can use the ceiling as a guiding reference. Measure down from it to where you want your brackets, then make your marks on the wall. That way, everything will be level relative to a consistent visual point. Just avoid screwing directly into the nice window casings if you can!
Good call! Just be sure to double-check everything, especially if you're trying to find the framing behind the wall. It can get tricky!
