I'm hosting a small party for my son in the garage and want to hang curtains from the ceiling to the floor to hide my storage area. The garage is about 19 feet long, and I'd love some cost-effective ideas for how to hang the curtains. I've considered using ceiling tracks, but they seem too pricey for this project. I can use a rope, but I'm unsure how to secure it. Any suggestions?

You could try using twine or a thin cable along with eyehooks or L hooks depending on your ceiling material. Just make sure to space them out for proper support—this could work nicely to keep the curtains secure!
Using rope is a solid choice! You can screw into the studs at the edges of the wall, and then hit the rafters every few feet to support the curtain. If you want to get creative, suspend the rope a little below the rafters to make hanging easier. Another option is to directly screw the curtain into the rafters with washers. That way, it'll be super stable!
I just did this for my garage! I used big canvas drop cloths and added curtain pleat tape along the top for a nicer look. I attached a ceiling track along the trusses, and it worked great. If you want to keep it simple and budget-friendly, you might even consider using cheap flat sheets and running wire through the hem to hang them up. Just staple it to the ceiling or whatever is available. It looked really cool and definitely helped with the storage visibility!
That sounds awesome! Thanks for the tip about the drop cloths. I'll definitely check out the pleat tape!
