Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a bit of a mole problem in my yard. I've tried using humane traps, but they haven't worked for me. I really don't want to harm the moles, and I can't afford to keep waiting around to catch them. I would leave them alone, but their tunneling is becoming hazardous, and I worry someone might get hurt. They're enjoying the perfect conditions with all this leaf litter, compost, and bark. Unfortunately, they're now starting to invade my lawn too, and I've let things go so long that I might have a whole army of them! Just to add, we have hedgehogs visiting, so I want to be careful not to deter them either. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!

One method I've had success with is using sonic mole deterrents. You can find them online or at stores like B&Q or Screwfix. They worked for me in the past and should help encourage the moles to move on without harming them.
I've heard that daffodils can help keep moles at bay. It might sound a bit strange, but planting them around your garden could act as a natural deterrent.
Honestly, I think we just need to accept moles as part of nature. If you're not dealing with a big hazard, maybe get a rake and flatten out the hills? They're great for the soil, and they really aren't that much of a bother!
