Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to properly insulate the area where my car charger is causing a small crack in the sliding door. Since I'm renting, I can't install an external charger, and my plug is a standard 120v that takes about 8 hours to charge, so I can't just remove it. Does anyone have any tips or solutions for how to manage this?

You should definitely chat with your landlord about getting a proper outdoor outlet put in by a licensed electrician. They might split the costs with you, and it could really boost the property's value, especially for future tenants with electric vehicles. Just make sure to present it as a win-win!

I get where you're coming from, but my mom is against spending money on anything for our rental. I mean, even the patio's falling apart, and the landlord doesn't want to fix it. It's tough to convince someone to invest in improvements when they're worried about money!
