Hi everyone! I've been dealing with an overwhelming number of bees and wasps around my house lately. They're buzzing around the doors, in my yard, and it feels like there's a swarm everywhere. I'm really worried because I have a severe allergy to bee stings, and I just want them to stay away from my space, preferably like the bubonic plague!
Are there any specific plants that bees tend to avoid or any chemical sprays that might deter them? I'm open to any solutions that could keep these critters far away from my doors. I know bees are important for pollination, but my health comes first. I really don't want to pay for professional pest removal if I can avoid it, but I'm scared to be outside right now with so many flying around. Appreciate any suggestions!

I found a source that mentions certain plants might help keep bees away. You can check out the list on The Spruce; apparently, some herbs and flowers are not very appealing to them. Just make sure to verify the info since I’m not an expert myself! Good luck!
If it’s really bad, I’d recommend calling in a professional. They can safely find and remove any nests, which might be worth it for your peace of mind. It’s super important to ensure your safety first!
Have you thought about letting some birds loose? They can help keep bee populations in check. Also, after winter, it’s a good idea to scout for wasp nests to remove them before they get active again. Just be careful, though!
Thanks for sharing! I’m surprised that some plants don’t attract them. I’ll definitely check it out!
