I'm looking for some effective tips and tricks to prevent caterpillars from invading my garden. Not only do I have a major phobia of these little critters, but they also tend to munch on my plants, and it's driving me crazy! Any advice you all have would be greatly appreciated!

One effective way to keep caterpillars at bay is by inviting birds into your garden. They love to feast on those pesky caterpillars, so having some bird feeders or birdbaths might help attract them. Plus, it's nice to have birds around!
You might want to consider what types of plants those caterpillars are going after. There are apps like iNaturalist that can help you identify them. If you're dealing with native caterpillars, they usually don't harm plants too badly. Plus, it could help to focus on their future as butterflies to help cope with your phobia. But if it's the invasive ones causing trouble, it's best to get rid of them. Just a thought!
You should try using BT spray! It's derived from a soil bacterium that specifically targets caterpillars without harming beneficial insects. Just make sure to apply it at dawn or dusk, following the instructions, and you'll see great results!

I know it sounds tough, but shifting your perspective could really help, especially if you can see them as beautiful butterflies instead of scary caterpillars.
