I'm having a problem with wood dust affecting my garage door. I know it needs lubrication, but I'm worried that using regular lube will just attract more dust and worsen the situation. Has anyone in a similar garage shop figured out a good solution for this?

Look, if your wheels are giving you trouble, it might be less about the lube and more about alignment. Get those aligned first. If the springs are the issue, you can use something nice and thick for them—the dust will just sit on the outside. You might even want to cover them with plastic to minimize dust build-up.
Try using a dry silicone lubricant instead of grease or oil. It'll keep the dust from sticking so much, which is what you want in this case.
You should definitely consider using a dust extractor. Dust not only collects on your garage door but also in your lungs, so it's a win-win for health and equipment. Make sure to keep the air clean!

Yeah, I'm dealing with that too! My lathe seems to blow dust directly onto the door rollers. I tried air filtration, but it doesn't have a chance to catch the dust before it hits the rollers. I guess moving the lathe might help, but it's tough in my small space.
