Hey everyone! I grew some beautiful forget-me-nots for a girl who's really into them, but they can be tough to find around here. They're looking great right now, and I want to make a special bouquet for her in a few weeks. The tricky part is that I can only dig them up around 2-3 PM on the day I plan to give them to her, but I won't be able to present them until later, like 6-8 PM or possibly even a bit after that. I'm having my birthday party at Pinstack, and it will be indoors. I want these flowers to stay fresh for as long as possible, so any tips would really help!

One good tip is to clip the stems just below a node if you can find them, and then stick the flowers in water as soon as possible. That’ll help them stay hydrated until you give them away. Keep them in a cool spot too, if you can!

What’s a node? I’m not really familiar with garden terms and I spent half my time running from bugs!
