How Can I Keep Leaf-Footed Bugs Out of My Garden?

I've been having a lot of success with my garden, particularly with my cherry tomatoes, but I've recently noticed an influx of leaf-footed bugs. They seem to be causing damage to my larger tomatoes before I can harvest them. Even though I enjoy some nature's pest control from my bird friends, they don't seem to be interested in these bugs. While I try to remove the leaf-footed bugs I find, there are just too many of them! What strategies do you all use to keep these pests at bay?

Another approach I've tried is buying small nylon bags to cover my plants. They can act as a barrier against those pesky invaders and keep your garden safe!

I've found that a simple soap and water mixture in a spray bottle can be pretty effective against aphids and might work for those leaf-footed bugs too! Just spray it directly on them when you spot any. You have to check regularly, but it does the job!

I actually use a similar method. I’ve heard that using dish soap might harm the plants, though, so I've been tossing the bugs into soapy water instead. Do you know if there's a more plant-safe soap? I've been trying mosquito bits tea and a garlic-cinnamon spray to keep other pests like aphids away too.

Yeah, I've been doing the daily check too! It's a bit tedious, but it really helps keep the pest population down.
