I have a house full of plants, but my cats love to munch on them! Currently, I keep one room plant-free for my cats, as I let them roam freely there. However, I really want to add some greenery to that space. Does anyone have effective methods or tips for protecting plants from curious kitties?

What about giving them their own plants? Things like cat grass can keep them happy and distracted from your indoor greenery. I also sprinkle some cayenne pepper mixed with cinnamon around the pots to keep my neighbor's cats at bay. Haven't tested it inside yet, but it's worth a shot!
Yeah, it’s all about distractions, right?
I use a mixed strategy to keep my plants safe. For the cats that like to nibble, I try to teach them to leave the plants alone, which sounds easier than it is! I keep my plants on high shelves where they can’t easily reach. For those big pots with dirt, I cover the soil with stones so they can't dig in. Just keeping them high and out of reach usually does the trick!
That sounds like a solid plan! Do you think teaching them works for all cats?
Yeah, I’ve heard some cats can actually be trained! It just takes patience.
I keep all the toxic plants and the ones my cats like on high shelves or in hanging pots. It’s great to have cat grass growing nearby so they have something they can enjoy. Once they got used to having plants around, some of them stopped bothering the lower ones. Just be sure not to bring home any plants that are like cat toys. You know, the ones that just scream 'chew me'!
I've found they get used to them too; just takes some adjusting.
That's a clever idea! Having an alternative for them really helps.

That’s a brilliant idea! Giving them something to munch on might just do the trick.
