I have some seeds that I recently planted on my kitchen windowsill, and I'm worried about watering them while I'm away for five days. I usually water them regularly, but I can't help but think that five days is too long for them to go without water. I've thought about watering them right before I leave and again when I return, but I'd love to get some suggestions on how to keep them hydrated while I'm gone. Any advice?

Try covering your seedlings with some cling film or a lid. This will help trap moisture and reduce evaporation, so they should stay damp while you're away!
You might want to place a jar of water next to them and use capillary matting to wick water into the soil. That could help keep them hydrated while you're on your trip!
If you have auto-watering bulbs, those could work perfectly for this situation! Just fill them up before you leave, and they should gradually release water.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking about those but wasn't sure if they'd be effective.
