How Can I Keep My USB-C Power Bank From Timing Out During My Bicycle Lighting Project?

I'm working on a custom lighting system for my bicycle that's powered by an Anker Nano Power Bank and a USB PD 12V negotiator module. However, I've run into a problem: the power bank times out after an unknown period of inactivity, and the only way I can reset it is by unplugging and replugging the 12V module. Is there a way to prevent this timeout, or did I make a mistake thinking this setup would work? Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like your lights might not be drawing enough power to keep the power bank awake. Most power banks have a minimum load requirement to stay on. Maybe you could use a load resistor to simulate a constant draw, or consider a different approach to keep the power bank active. You could also try looking into wake-up methods that don't involve unplugging the device, but that can get tricky with power banks.

I see what you’re saying, but since the lights aren't on constantly, I'm not sure how to implement that effectively. If you have any other tips on waking it up without unplugging, that’d be awesome!
