I've finally managed to rabbit-proof my garden, or at least I thought I had. The last hurdle was making sure they couldn't squeeze under my gate, which is barely an inch and a half off the ground! But now, every time I plant something new in my yard, those little munchers are right there, eating them. This spring, they dug up and ate my tulip bulbs (they left the daffodils alone, likely because they're toxic). I also planted marigolds, thinking the bitter leaves would deter them, but no luck! Now, they've even nipped the buds off my asiatic lilies! I've tried spraying different repellents, but they don't seem to care. I'm wondering if ultrasonic devices actually work or if anyone has advice on how to coexist with these rabbits?

I feel your pain! Those little guys are relentless. They’ve eaten all my marigolds and even wiped out my strawberry plants. I’m all for sharing, but come on, give me at least one strawberry!
Daffodils are toxic to rabbits, which is why they're usually left alone. You could try using a pellet gun if you're comfortable with that. It helps keep the bunnies at bay!
Honestly, those ultrasonic devices don’t do a thing. If you want to keep them away, a motion-activated sprinkler might work, but I’m skeptical. Best options are usually trapping or excluding them. Just remember, they can climb lower fences surprisingly well, so make sure it's secure!
Sometimes you just need a predator to scare them off! Getting a cat or a dog might help with those rabbits. Otherwise, I don’t have a magical solution. Just keep trying to protect your garden!
I've found that hardware cloth at least 12 inches tall does the trick for keeping them out. It’s a bit of work, but worth it if it saves your plants!

I’ve tried the motion-activated sprinkler too, and it seemed to work for a bit, but then they got used to it. Physical barriers are definitely the way to go!
