I recently moved into a new apartment, and I'm excited to try out the bathtub for the first time! However, I've noticed that the drain has five holes, which makes it difficult to retain water while showering. I'm looking for a stopper that I can install, but I don't want to deal with plumber's putty. I've already tried some silicone plugs, but they didn't hold the water, and it drained out quickly. Here's an image of the strainer plate I'm working with—it has six holes and one additional screw hole. Can anyone suggest a solution?

You might want to try a simple rubber drain plug that fits your specific drain size. Just make sure to put that strainer plate back on when you're not using it—it's a hassle to reconnect if something goes wrong with the drain below. Consider getting a bathtub plug that works like a big suction cup! You can just place it over the drain when you want to fill the tub with water. It's perfect for renters since it doesn’t require any installation and won’t leave marks on the tub.
That sounds interesting! Do you have a specific product in mind? Is it like this one? [https://www.amazon.de/HUAERSICO-Universal-Silicone-Drain-Plug/dp/B0CYWKQZ8R](https://www.amazon.de/HUAERSICO-Universal-Silicone-Drain-Plug/dp/B0CYWKQZ8R)?

The link seems to be broken for me. I get that you’ve tried some plugs already, but have you thought about looking for a bigger size? Sometimes that can be exactly what you need!
