I'm currently building an A Frame chicken coop and need to cut some 2x4 boards at a 60/30 degree angle. My friend's Metabo miter saw only cuts up to 50 degrees, but I think I need to achieve a 60-degree cut to get that 30-degree angle I need. Is there any technique or trick I can use with this miter saw to make these sharp cuts?

You could try making a jig! Use a piece of OSB and screw a 2x4 to it at a 60-degree angle. Then, clamp your cut piece to this jig and set your saw blade to 90 degrees for the cut. Just be careful to keep your hands away from the blade while cutting!
You can also try marking it out and using a circular saw for the cut. If you have several pieces to cut, making a template could save you time on marking!
I just saw a quick YouTube short about this! A guide jig might be what you need. Here’s a helpful link: https://youtube.com/shorts/KcbQFMv1cSw?si=q4ojZvM00jhY52Rk

thank you!
