I have a wooden desk that has a slight waviness along the grain, and I'm looking for ways to make it completely flat. Would sandpaper be the best option for this? If so, how should I use it? Are there any other methods I should consider? Thanks for the help!

The type of wood matters here, but if it's solid wood, using a bench plane set for a light cut can give you a perfectly flat and glossy finish. Alternatively, using a large sanding block can also help flatten the surface really well.
