How Can I Make My Dusty, Humid Sunroom Livable?

I'm renting a sunroom that's around 9'x13' and built in 1930, but it's a mess—super dusty and humid since it has no ventilation. Dust gathers so quickly that anything left there is covered within a week, which is a nightmare for my dust allergy. I believe this is due to stagnant air in the room. I wanted to install an AC unit, but the awning windows make that impossible. It gets cold in the winter too, so I can't depend on an AC year-round. I'm thinking of using an air purifier and a dehumidifier to make the space usable for most of the year, but I'm not keen on spending a fortune since I'm just renting. Any suggestions for budget-friendly options to deal with the dust and humidity? Don't forget, I have two cats that hang out in there too!

Have you tried vacuuming the space a few times? The dust has to be coming from somewhere. Personally, I'm all for getting a good air purifier and humidifier—shouldn’t cost you more than $150 together. That should help a lot!

You know, I'm starting to think the dust might be coming from the ceiling. It's this weird cork material, and if it’s been there since the house was built, it’s probably disintegrating.
