How can I move a 1600 lb pallet that was left at my driveway?

I recently had a large pallet dropped off at the edge of my driveway, and it weighs around 1600 lbs. The delivery guy left it partially blocking the sidewalk, and I wasn't home to sign for it. Ideally, this pallet should have been left closer to my garage, which is about 20 feet away. Now I'm stuck deciding whether to keep it or return it for free. The pallet contains several boxes weighing 200-300 lbs each. My friend suggested using a couple of furniture dollies and a heavy-duty dolly to help move it. I also thought about hiring a moving company to get the job done quickly. What would be the best way to tackle moving this oversized pallet?

You could try using some wedges to prop one end of the pallet up and slide some rods or dowels underneath. It’s a bit like that ancient Egyptian trick! This might give you the leverage needed to roll it.

Why not rent a pallet jack? It would make things much easier for you. Just be aware that you might need a trailer to transport it since they're pretty heavy, around 200 lbs. It'll definitely save you some headache if you can get it to do the lifting for you!

I don’t have a truck to carry it, and I’d need ramps too. Honestly, I wanted to avoid a whole team for this, and my neighbors probably don’t have one either. Really frustrating since they didn’t even call ahead!
