How Can I Prevent My Neighbor’s Laundry Water from Soaking My Side of the Yard?

I'm struggling with some annoying water issues from my neighbor's laundry. The runoff from their washing machine keeps making my side of the yard damp, which leads to a ton of weeds. Their hose isn't right against my fence, but somehow it still affects me. I'd rather not confront them as they kinda intimidate me. Is there anything I can do to keep my side dry?

If it’s truly dirty laundry water, that’s not great! You might want to look into putting up a small barrier or even installing some kind of drainage on your side to redirect the water. Just a thought!

Wow, so it’s actually laundry water that’s causing the issue? That's a tough spot to be in! One idea is to plant some stronger plants on your side that will thrive in damp conditions. That way, you can outgrow the weeds and have some plants you enjoy looking at instead.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I’ll try that. Definitely need some color on my side!
