I recently had a water problem because the water heater in my upstairs neighbor's condo broke, and water leaked right into my closet, ruining my stuff. Now, I want to use that space for storing my clothes. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can protect my clothes from future leaks if their water heater fails again?

It's true that a new water heater should last a long time, but you never know what could happen. If you’re seriously worried about another leak, consider investing in some protective shelving or bins that can handle a little water, just in case. Also, checking with your landlord about what happens if your items get damaged might be a good idea!
