How Can I Protect My Furniture and Clothes from Drywall Dust?

I'm prepping to remove and replace some moldy drywall and plaster caused by a previous leak. I want to know if there's a way to tape around the drawers of my dressers to keep dust out without having to take the whole drawer out, as I'm worried about damaging the finish. Additionally, I'm considering using plastic drawstring garbage bags to store my clothes and items. If I tape the openings tightly and ensure there are no holes, will that keep the dust out? Space is tight, so I can't move everything to another part of the house.

To protect your furniture, I suggest covering everything with plastic and securing it well. It's also a good idea to turn off your HVAC system while you're working to minimize dust circulation. A window fan can help create negative pressure, keeping dust from spreading around. If possible, try to set up plastic walls around your work area to contain the mess. For sanding, using a shop vac with a sanding screen can drastically reduce dust—I hardly wear a mask since switching to this method!

How do you suggest I fasten the plastic to my furniture? I have a high ceiling, so I can’t do plastic walls, but my bedroom is small.
