I'm hosting a lot of gatherings with around 15 guests at a time and often have to bring in folding chairs. This has been a nightmare for my pre-laminated hardwood floor. I've tried using felt pads and cups, but they don't seem to hold up, especially with some heavier guests. The floors keep getting scuffed and damaged, and I'm really at my wits' end. I'm looking for solutions that prioritize floor protection over aesthetics since these setups are temporary. Would tennis balls be a feasible option, or would they still scuff the floors?

If you're considering tennis balls, they might help, but I would suggest exploring those clear plastic cups designed for chair legs. They stay in place and don't scuff. Just be wary that some versions might not hold up after a few uses.
Silicone covers can work too! I bought some with a metal disc inside that protects the chair legs from tearing through. They fit snugly and have lasted pretty well for me.
You might want to consider laying down some rugs or mats where the chairs will go. It can protect the floor significantly and you can just roll them up after your event. Not a perfect fix, but definitely better than felt pads alone!
