How Can I Redirect Water from My Hanging Ferns?

I'm looking for some practical solutions to manage the water runoff from my hanging Boston ferns. They're placed above my deck, and when I water them, excess water drips down onto the wooden surface below. I'd prefer to have that water directed towards my garden instead. Does anyone have ideas on what I could attach to the bottom of the hanging baskets to achieve this?

Here's a quirky tip I picked up: don't water your plants! It's worked for me in cutting down excess runoff, but, well, my plants seem to have their own issues now. Just a thought!

Haha, I get it! But maybe find a balance between watering and keeping them healthy!

Have you thought about cutting up old plastic milk jugs? You can make a scoop shape and attach it to the bottom of your pots. This way, it can funnel the runoff water away from the deck toward your garden!

You might want to check out some plastic saucers designed for hanging baskets. They can catch the excess water and help redirect it. I found some on Amazon that could work for you!
