I'm working out of a small, finished one-car garage, and I shoot YouTube videos. The problem is that the acoustics are quite loud while I'm filming. I'm considering installing sound dampening panels on the drywall to help with this. Does anyone have effective suggestions to improve the sound quality in such a small space?

If you're using tools like a table saw or a router, those noises are quite loud. Sound absorbing panels can help with reflections, but they're not going to block out all the noise, especially with all the hard surfaces in a garage. Honestly, opening the garage door can actually relieve some of that echo too!
You could definitely make some DIY sound dampening panels. But if it's an option, consider doing voice-overs in a closet filled with clothes instead of recording directly in the garage. In a tight space, everything's so close to the mic that even with panels, you're likely just going to improve the clarity without significantly lowering the volume.
I saw Rex Krueger's videos on this topic! He's got some great tips in case you want to check those out.

Yeah. Thanks for the input!
