I'm dealing with some serious humidity issues in my house. It hit 73% today! I know I have air leaks under the baseboards of my exterior walls, in the bathroom exhaust vents, and under sinks on exterior walls. My laundry room is particularly strange—it doesn't even have any exterior walls, yet the humidity levels climb to 85%, even when we're not using the washer or dryer. I'm wondering if sealing these leaks will help lower the humidity. It's really uncomfortable, and I've already confirmed that my doors and windows are sealed properly. By the way, my house was built in 2020, so I'm starting to doubt the construction quality.

Before sealing everything up, it's good to consider the outside humidity levels too. If it's 61% outside, keeping the indoor air dry could be tough without AC or a dehumidifier in good working order. You mentioned that your AC is a bit undersized and runs almost constantly—maybe that’s part of the issue? Also, how effective is your dehumidifier? Sometimes they can struggle if they're not able to keep up with the moisture coming in.

That's a solid point! My feeling is sealing the leaks would help, but you might want to check how much water your other units are removing daily.
