I'm installing a clothes dryer and I encountered a square head plug on my natural gas line. I've never dealt with one of these before! Should I use a regular adjustable wrench, or do I need a special tool for it?

This is just a regular gas plug, so a standard English wrench should work just fine. Just make sure you've got a good grip!
Just a heads up—make sure the gas valve is closed before you start unscrewing anything! Safety first!
Using two wrenches is the way to go! One wrench to secure the valve body while the other grips and turns the plug counter-clockwise. That should do the trick without any fuss.
