I recently noticed that the caulk in my walk-in shower is peeling in places, which is quite disappointing since we bought our new home just in November. I've purchased tools to remove the old caulk and replace it, but I'm struggling to get it all off. I've managed to remove about 30–40% so far because some of it was already peeling. The angle makes it hard to see the remaining caulk. What would be the best tools or methods to tackle this? I've included pictures for reference, but I'm specifically looking for suggestions on how to deal with that tiny gap. Any help would be appreciated!

For removing stubborn caulk, a Harbor Freight seal pick set works great, and using razor blades can also help. If it’s flaking off, it's possible that it's not silicone, which can make the removal a bit easier. Just be patient, as silicone can be tough to get off entirely!
I didn't see any pictures, but if it’s just coming off in spots, maybe you can just add new caulk in those areas to blend it in. If it’s new caulk and matches well, that might save you a hassle!
You might want to try a chemical caulk remover. Different types of caulk require matching removers, so check what you have first. It's often more effective than scraping it off. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully, especially since the reaction time can vary based on the caulk type and how much material you’re dealing with.

That's a good point! Adding some new caulk could be a simple fix, but I still want to make sure the old stuff is mostly gone.
