I'm trying to remove my faucet, but there's this wing nut that hits the body of the sink, making it super tricky. I could just break or saw it off and replace it with a regular nut, but I'm wondering if anyone has better ideas for how to tackle this? Here's a link to a pic of the setup: https://imgur.com/a/GXQ0NTe.

I think you're dealing with a unique toggle bolt there! You might want to check it from above to remove it. I found some interesting guidance in this thread: https://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/150097/how-can-i-remove-a-2006-kohler-bathroom-faucet-with-an-odd-mounting-nut. It could save you a lot of hassle!
Yeah, I appreciate it too! I also found this video that explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPJAdXP27a4.

Thanks! That thread really helped me out!
