I just moved into a new place and I'm looking to run an HDMI cable from the bedroom upstairs down to the living room. My goal is to play games from my desktop on the TV in the living room. The rooms are positioned directly above each other and there are two telephone ports in the wall perfectly aligned. What's the easiest method for removing the telephone line and swapping it out for an HDMI cable?

I don't think you can just pull it through using the telephone line because that usually won't work. You might have to open up the wall to make sure there's enough room for the HDMI cable.
One of the easiest methods is to tie the HDMI cable to the telephone line. You can pull the telephone line out, and as you do, the HDMI cable should come through as well. Just keep in mind that depending on how the walls are constructed, it might not be that straightforward. Good luck!
That's a clever idea! But since the HDMI connectors are bulkier than telephone line ends, should I be worried about them fitting through the wall? Any tips?

Do you think it would be a big job to open up the wall? What's the best way to go about it?
