I'm dealing with a situation where my neighbor's young child, who is really sweet but has low-functioning autism, sometimes throws rocks while playing in their backyard. Although he usually plays well, there are times when he accidentally tosses rocks over our wall and they hit my exterior window. I'm worried about the window breaking and was hoping to find some effective ways to protect it from the outside. Any suggestions?

Plexiglass is a solid option! You can have it mounted in a way that leaves some space between it and your window to absorb impacts without damaging the glass itself. It would act as a shield.
Golf ball protection screens could work great too! They’re designed to withstand impacts, so they might be just what you need to keep your window safe from those rocks.
If you're looking for something that doesn’t ruin the aesthetics, consider finding a local ironworker to make a custom steel mesh screen. It can be removable and will keep your window protected while looking nice. If you’re okay with a DIY approach, a simple setup using steel mesh can also do the trick—just check out options online like the ones at Lowe's!
