How Can I Safeguard My Potted Plants from Excess Rain?

I'm new to gardening and could use some advice. Currently, I'm living in Scotland where we've been hit with heavy rainfall, and it's expected to last for at least another week. I'm concerned that my potted plants might be overwatered. Is there anything I can do to protect them or any products that could help? Thanks!

In general, potted plants are pretty resilient when it comes to rain. They naturally shed excess water from the edges, so they shouldn’t really need any special protection. Plus, if your pots are properly filled, any extra water will just drain out from the bottom holes anyway.

I’m in Scotland too, and honestly, it's nice not having to water the plants for a change after the recent dry spells. As long as your pots have drainage holes, your plants should be just fine!

A whole week of rain shouldn't hurt your plants at all! They can usually handle that much water without any issues. Just keep an eye on smaller seedlings since they might need a bit more attention.
