I recently had a stressful experience finding an escaped pet stuck in a Fungus Gnat sticky trap, which led me to wonder how to manage these pesky bugs without using sticky traps. I have a ton of plants, many of them on large sphagnum moss poles, and I'm looking for effective solutions that won't put my cat at risk. Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Have you considered using Katchy traps? They're a bit different since they contain the sticky area, so it might be safer around your cat. You could give it a shot!
Nematodes are a solid option! You can get them online and just add them to your watering can to treat the soil. They're safe for pets and can help keep those gnats under control.

This looks like a good option. Thank you!
