How can I safely dry chamomile in a cat-filled home?

I'm looking for advice on how to dry my chamomile safely. I have two adult cats and three kittens, and I read that chamomile is toxic to them. I'm worried about them being in the same room while the flowers are drying. I don't have paper bags to use, and I was considering the oven or air fryer on dehydrate mode, but I'm concerned about the fumes possibly making my cats sick. Any tips would be highly appreciated!

FlowerPowerGal1: I don't have friends nearby, but I do have a front porch. Would it be okay to dry them outside despite the bugs and animals?
